For three years running I’ve worked on the program guide of Belgium’s Kunstenfestivaldesarts, one of the leading performing arts festivals in the world. Beyond editing copy, the work involves many challenges – interpreting and rewriting rough translations from other languages, research into artists and art history, and harmonizing the sometimes arcane art world vernacular with the needs of a broad reading audience.
